We are so excited to be partnering with Vail Mountain School to offer one of our meetups for their young women!
Though this event is not open to the public, we are very much looking forward to the day when we have the capacity to hold programming for all girls! We are grateful to our friends at Vail Mountain School for this opportunity to connect with young women and test a pilot program with them while we grow.
If you are inspired to support GRGA so we can increase our outreach to more young women and girls in this valley, you can make a donation here.
Summer Ambassador Training
Stronger training means stronger impact. This year, we’ve expanded our Ambassador Training into a full-day program, adding critical risk management and deeper operational education to better prepare our team.
We’re raising $2,000 to cover training costs and provide meals for the day. Join us in investing in the people who power our work—donate here
GRGA Strategic Planning
We are excited for our 2nd Strategic Planning!
We held our first strategic planning session in June 2024—and the growth since has been tremendous. Now, we’re bringing our team together again to map out how to continue delivering meaningful impact across Eagle and Summit Counties.
To help make this vital session possible, consider contributing toward our $2,500 goal. Every gift makes a difference— donate here!

We ski + ride down
We go grab bites and/or drinks around 7:15pm and connect with one another at what we call an Apres Social
This one will be hosted by Last Chance Pizza with one free beer or soda + $5 garlic knots!
If you aren't able to make the uphill, or perhaps you'd rather meet some people after rather than on the hill, please feel free to join us for the Apres Social only! We're a real friendly bunch.
New this year! We are implementing 3 speed groups; Mild, Medium, + Spicy.
Everyone has a place at GRGA whether you're a seasoned and speedy uphiller, new to the activity, or like a chill conversational pace. If you are unsure of your pace, we recommend starting with the slower of the two for the first time.
Mild: Beginners, gals who prefer a slower pace, are returning from injury, etc.
Medium: Just like Goldilocks, you like things not too hot, and not too cold. Just right for gals in the middle.
Spicy: Speed Queens! Are you someone working towards a touring or fitness goal? You like to move quick and are often leading your touring pals? This group’s goal will be to get to Mid Vail within the hour.
We will still uphold our standards of inclusivity and leave no one by themselves.
Ability Level: Though we do welcome beginner uphillers, we do ask you to be familiar with your gear and be able to ski/snowboard downhill.
Reminder: This is not a professionally guided event, our Ambassadors will be leading the route and keeping groups together, but skiing and riding are done so at your own risk and all participants must have a signed the GRGA Waiver.
Suggested gear: clear goggles/glasses, headlamps (with fresh batteries!), layers, helmet, and water. Of course your touring gear too! Skis, skins, poles, etc...
No uphill pass is required.
Need Gear?
Check out our friends at Colorado Adventure Guides or Cripple Creek Backcountry in Silverthorne for demo gear.
