Why Do We Need Your Support?

The Gore Range Gravity Alliance is a 501c3 registered nonprofit with a mission to empower women in the outdoors through education and connection.

This year alone, we need almost $8,000 just for legal counsel and insurance for our meetups, events, and to protect our volunteers, board members, and directors.

We spend about $2,000 to put on the Beacon Hunt at Meadow Mountain; a free, open-to-the-public day of hands-on avalanche education!

Our ambassador program is currently 100% volunteer based and runs on a very small budget. We have a plan to further develop this program, but it needs real funding to do so.

As we are a quickly growing nonprofit, we have to budget for things like professional development and the strategic planning we held in June to make sure we are prioritizing that which is best for our community and our organization. We also need to focus on growing our staffing budget. Nearly all of the work to make all of the events that GRGA puts on is done on a volunteer basis. We are extremely grateful for all of the efforts from our team, but in order to sustain our current level of work, building our organizational capacity is key.

Then like any for-profit business, we of course have website fees, marketing costs, and other admin and operational expenses. Even things like being able to afford a storage unit are on our list of goals!
