“Gore Range Gravity Alliance has provided me a sense of connection with the community through the outdoors. One of my first experiences with GRGA was a mountain bike ride during my first 6 months here. I met a woman who ended up coaching me the whole downhill - that woman is the reason I can confidently ride my mountain bike. One uphill ski meetup, I wasn’t paying attention and ended up falling uphill (which is the actual worst). My ski fell off - I had one woman holding my ski for me, one letting me hold onto/lean on her, and everyone shining their light to help! That was truly women supporting women in the outdoors. Every meetup I attend, I get someone’s number and have a friend to do outdoor activities with. Most importantly, there is something so empowering and inspiring about doing outdoor activities with all ladies! I absolutely love it and didn’t realize how much I needed this connection. I tell anyone and everyone about GRGA and what it did for me. If you haven’t been to a meet up, whatever level you are, I STRONGLY suggest attending because you won’t regret it! You’ll meet ladies of all different skills who are supportive, encouraging, and most importantly fun.”
